We came on Christmas Eve. Almost missed this one as the reservation showed that no lunch slots were available. We tried :)
Only 8-course meal was available that afternoon.
Liked the attentiveness of the servers - who shared how we should approach the appetiser that came with 3 items. The dishes were not just well presented, but they were tasty... Quite a variety of choices in the menu.
Ok so here is the deal, this was my last restaurant during my stay in Singapore and I almost didn't come because I thought it was only vegetarian but they have 2-4 options for every course and it was BY FAR THE BEST vegan meal I've had on my trip. I even had the potato salad and as a black man, I'm very picky about this, but it was unique and really good! The pasta, the bread stick, the drinks, the miso soup with surprises at the bottom. I mean if I wasn't leaving tonight, I would come back tomorrow! Please come here if you are VEGAN!!!! and I told the owners to please advertise that they have vegan options because they are so delicious 🤤🤤🤤
I visited for lunch and was initially informed that only the lunch set was available, and individual dishes couldn't be ordered. This left me disappointed as I wanted to sample various items from the menu. However, I later learned that the set menu allowed me to select dishes from the à la carte menu.
During my visit, I tried the following:
1. Wholefood trio appetizer - a delightful starter that truly whetted my appetite.
2. Rosemary breadstick with mustard dip.
3. Mulberry cider - quite enjoyable.
4. Baked butter mushroom with garlic butter - a tasty dish.
5. Double-boiled cordyceps white fungus soup with black garlic.
6. Peppery golden quinoa risotto - although good, it lacked the desired level of peppery flavour, so I requested additional pepper to enhance it.
There are new dishes. 😍
Staff friendly and the food is delicious
Today Main Course ~~Cheesy Lemon Zest Liguine with Balsamic Vinegar (they can help removed onion garlic) and Lion's Mane Mushroom Steak with Crispy Mix Veggie. Love it. ❤️
Only two set meal options are available (6 courses or 8 courses ) No À la carte option. No sharing of meals is allowed, meaning all dinners must ordered one set meal.
The starter are not bad and the salad is good.
Ordered the following dishes for the mains:
Olive fried rice
雷茶 Spaghetti
Star pizza
Baked Cauliflower
Baked Rice
Overall, the food was just ok, not really fantastic and worth the price.
Compared to another similar restaurant "Element", which I think it is much better and slightly cheaper 😀.
Its set menu comes with either 4, 6, or 8 courses, the Breadstick and the Cider drink is a standard item from the menu, and for a 4-course you have a choice of a Salad or Soup and a main course.
6-course you have an additional standard Appetizer, a selection of Salad, Soup, and the main.
8-course you have an additional selection of Dessert and hot or cold Beverage.
There are new dishes. Very nice place for vegetarian dishes which is not mock. Never fail to make you feel good after each meal with their smiley staff. Thank you!
This place serves creative and delicious dishes inspired by Western and Asian cuisines. The appetiser was refreshing and light, and I especially liked the tangy jelly. The vegetables were tender and juicy, and the cheese sauce added a nice richness to the dish. The rice was fluffy and fragrant, and complemented the skewers well. The portion was satisfying and filling. The service was attentive and friendly, and the restaurant was cozy and modern. I would definitely recommend Sufood to anyone who loves vegetarian food or wants to try something different.
